Moviebox, one of the world’s leading Asian music publishing companies has this week joined the composer/publisher collecting agency MCPS-PRS Alliance as a direct member for the world.  BBC_Asian_Network
A substantial and successful Asian music catalogue is now easily available for use by music users in their businesses, including broadcasters. Music users with a PRS licence will have access to the entire Moviebox catalogue containing thousands of Asian music titles and portfolios from writer performers including Gurdas Maan, B21, Jazzy B, Sukshinder Shinda, Bhota Jagpal, Bally Jagpal, Shazia Manzoor, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and many more.

Moviebox will receive all the benefits of membership of the MCPS-PRS Alliance, ensuring that they and their writers will receive speedy payment of the royalties they earn from the UK and overseas. The MCPS-PRS Alliance directly represents 45,000 composer, songwriter and music publisher members and hundreds of thousands more from around the world. Ten million pieces of the world’s best music are available under licence from the Alliance for those wishing to use music as part of their business.

BBC Asian Network welcomed the announcement of this new relationship as it enables the BBC to have complete access to the Moviebox repertoire under their existing PRS licence.
