AccessibilityAccess and Parking
Disabled parking can be found in the Civic Centre car park directly opposite the Civic Halls, or alternatively, in Blossoms fold off North Street or Cheap Side off North Street.
Access to the Civic Hall is gained through our front doors, which are up a couple of steps, however, if alternative access is needed, there is door with ramped access to the far left of the front doors, where staff will be happy to help you.
The Civic Hall is accessible on all public levels to wheelchair users. With a lift providing access to the balcony viewing areas and balcony bars.
Seating
There six positions for wheelchair users in the balcony area. Whether attending a seated or standing concert, the stalls area of the hall is also accessible to all. Please speak to our box office staff when booking tickets to ensure you get the best position for you.
Toilets
Disabled toilets are situated on the corridor to the right of the building at ground level, and on the right balcony near to the stage, just past the bar.
A radar key system is in operation, for those customers without a key, please feel free to contact any member of staff, who will be happy to arrange for toilets to be opened for your use.
Hearing Loop / Sound Levels
There is a hearing loop installed in the Civic Hall. Please consult box office staff when purchasing your tickets, as they will be able to seat you nearest to the loop. Once in the venue, please switch your hearing aid to T.
We take this opportunity to advise customers that they may be subjected to high levels of noise both from the production and also fellow audience members during a performance. Ear defenders are available at all bars.
Visually Impaired Services
Please contact our box office staff when purchasing tickets in order that the most suitable position can be booked for you.
Guide dogs are permitted into the halls, however, we recommend that they are not brought to concerts where high sound levels may upset them.
Lighting
We regret that due to the nature of the events we hold, strobe lighting and smoke are often used. Should you have any specific questions regarding the production of a concert, please contact staff at our box office who will be happy to assist you.

Food and Drink
Snacks are available at most Civic Hall events, for details on catering at events, please contact the box office. If you have special requirements, please contact the venue ahead of the event.
