Pictures from the British Asian Sports Awards 2009Saturday 21st February, the Grosvenor House Hotel played host to the eighth annual British Asian Sports Awards, an awards programme that prides itself on acknowledging and celebrating our current British Asian sporting talent and aims to motivate and inspire the next generation.
Check out pictures from the nightPrevious award winners include former French professional footballer Vikash Dhorasoo and British sporting icon, Amir Khan. The BASA shortlist covers ten categories and this year’s shortlisted nominees include cricketers, Owais Shah, Ravi Bopara and Samit Patel who will be battling it out for the coveted title of British Asian Sports Personality of the Year. The BASAs continue to attract the cream of the crop from industry figures, national and international celebrities and leading sports icons.
